Boston Bruins defensemen have had a hard time staying healthy in 2014.
The latest blue-liner to fall victim to the injury bug was David Warsofsky, who Bruins coach Claude Julien recently said would be “out for a while.” Warsofsky joins Zdeno Chara, Torey Krug and Kevan Miller on the team’s growing list of injured defensemen.
Warsofsky’s injury gives the struggling Matt Bartkowski a chance to step up in his absence. Bartkowski has a plus-minus rating of -4 with zero points in five games this season.
