Bruins Defenseman David Warsofsky Out 2 To 4 Weeks With Groin Strain

The hits keep coming for Boston Bruins defensemen.

The Bruins announced Sunday that D-man David Warsofsky will miss 2 to 4 weeks with a groin injury. The Boston University product suffered the injury Thursday night against the Edmonton Oilers and missed the final 6:46 of that contest.

Warsofsky had been playing well since being recalled from Providence. The Marshfield, Mass., native was called up after fellow Boston blueliners Zdeno Chara (knee), Torey Krug (finger) and Kevan Miller (shoulder) all suffered injuries.

Krug practiced with the team again Sunday, but Bruins head coach Claude Julien said the team hasn’t made a decision about Krug for Monday’s game with the New Jersey Devils. If Krug isn’t able to go, the B’s might insert Matt Bartkowski back into the lineup.
