Caroline Wozniacki’s sport requires a great amount of endurance. On Sunday, though, the tennis star took her athleticism to a whole new level.

Wozniacki participated in the 44th running of the New York City Marathon to benefit the children’s charity Team for Kids and completed the course in an impressive 3 hours, 26 minutes and 33 seconds. That’s an average pace of 7 minutes and 53 seconds per mile.

Such a performance from someone who apparently had never ran more than 13 miles in her life deserves to be celebrated. Luckily, Wozniacki’s good pal, Serena Williams, was on hand to show her support.

Wozniacki and Williams’ friendship certainly is well-documented, so it’s not surprising that Serena was the among the first to greet her pal after she crossed the line.

Not bad for someone who was playing tennis in Singapore just one week ago.
