The Boston Celtics have had their struggles on the hardwood this season, so prior to their loss against the Chicago Bulls on Friday, they gave another sport a try when they played a little football — with a basketball — during warmups.

First off, Brandon Bass’ play-action fake didn’t fool anyone.

After getting away from the pressure, the power forward then completed a pass to Rajon Rondo — who would’ve been flagged for being an ineligible player downfield after also snapping the ball as the center.

Rondo might have also been flagged for the layup after the catch since the NFL no longer allows players to dunk footballs over goal posts.

Sticking to basketball is probably a good idea for the Celtics.
