CrossFit Studio Raises Money To Build Buggies For Disabled Children (Video)

Stella Puzzo is a four-year-old child who loves to go to the beach.

But because she has cerebral palsy, it’s becoming harder for her to enjoy her favorite hobby. In order to address this issue, her grandfather used PVC pipes and wheels to create a beach buggy. Now, Stella is able to play on the beach and do other fun activities such as apple picking.

That heartwarming story led Stella’s mother, Nicole, to create Stepping Stones for Stella in order to “provide children with disabilities the freedom to access the great outdoors through the use of their Buggies.”

On Saturday, the Puzzo family teamed up with CrossFit The Swamp and Red-Line Gear in Swampscott, Mass. for their one-year anniversary celebration to raise money in order to help produce more beach buggies. CrossFit athletes like Mat Fraser made appearances and entertained a large crowd with various displays of strength and athleticism.

At the end of the day, over $2,500 was raised for the cause.
