NHL: Boston Bruins at Buffalo SabresDavid Krejci is inching closer to a return.

The Boston Bruins center skated for the first time since he played Nov. 6 against the Edmonton Oilers as the B’s returned to practice Friday morning at Ristuccia Arena following two rough losses. Krejci skated with strength and conditioning coach John Whitesides for about a half-hour before the team took the ice, according to the Bruins’ official website.

Krejci, who is dealing with an undisclosed injury and is still day to day, did not travel with the team on its two-game road trip to Canada, where the Bruins fell 6-1 to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday and 5-1 to the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.

Defenseman Kevan Miller, meanwhile, practiced with the team and took light contact for the first time since suffering a dislocated shoulder Oct. 18 against the Buffalo Sabres. Miller continues to progress with his recovery, but he already has been ruled out for Saturday’s matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes.
