The Boston Bruins were once again without center David Krejci at practice Sunday.
Krejci missed his second consecutive practice as the B’s skated at TD Garden. The center also missed Friday’s practice with the team getting Saturday off.
The Czech pivot has battled an injury all season long. He returned to the lineup Thursday night against the Edmonton Oilers after missing the previous two games with an undisclosed injury. The return seemed encouraging, but Krejci struggled against Edmonton.
Bruins coach Claude Julien said Krejci is still day to day with the injury. Veteran center Chris Kelly filled Krejci’s spot on the Boston first line at practice.
Julien also said defenseman Torey Krug’s status for Monday’s game against the New Jersey Devils is still up in the air. Krug is practicing again after suffering a broken finger on Oct. 28.
Patrice Bergeron returned to the practice ice on Sunday morning after being given a maintenance day Friday.
