What might have been a Georgia Tech touchdown turned into a stunning Georgia score Saturday afternoon.

With the Yellow Jackets facing third-and-goal from the 2-yard line, quarterback Justin Thomas attempted to sneak across the goal line only to be met by a wall of Bulldogs. While Thomas struggled to cross the line, the officials let the play continue, despite his forward progress being stopped.

This gave Georgia’s Damian Swann plenty of time to strip the ball away from Thomas and run 99 yards for a touchdown to give the Bulldogs a 14-7 lead.

Officials reviewed the play, but the call on the field stood as there was no conclusive evidence that Thomas crossed the line.
