Jerry Rice: No Chance Darrelle Revis, Richard Sherman Could Cover Me

Jerry Rice still feels unstoppable.

Rice, widely considered the greatest wide receiver in NFL history, recently pointed to the New England Patriots’ Darrelle Revis, the Seattle Seahawks’ Richard Sherman and the Arizona Cardinals’ Patrick Peterson as today’s best cornerbacks. According to Rice, none would have stopped him during his playing days.

Rice racked up 1,549 catches for 22,895 yards and 197 touchdowns over the course of his illustrious career, which spanned 20 seasons from 1985 through 2004. The 13-time Pro Bowler didn’t have the size or the freakish athleticism of some of today’s top wideouts, but he feels his ability to get off the line of scrimmage would have served him well against guys like Revis, Sherman and Peterson.
