Pro tip: Don’t try jumping over Nick Mangold.

Things got chippy toward the end of the New York Jets’ stunning 20-13 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon when Mike Mitchell made a less-than-stellar decision with time running out.

With the Jets in a rare victory formation, the Steelers safety tried to force a fumble by attempting to jump over the line of scrimmage as Michael Vick took the snap before kneeling. Unfortunately for Mitchell, though, Mangold wasn’t having it. The Jets center forcefully body-slammed Mitchell to the ground, prompting a brief scuffle to break out.

The Jets held on for the win, which snapped their eight-game losing streak, but emotions were still running high after the game.

But no one was more heated about the play than head coach Rex Ryan, who should have been jumping for joy after the victory. CBS cameras caught Ryan appearing to shout “(expletive) you!” at someone on the Steelers’ sideline as time ran out.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, this isn’t the first time this season a member of the Jets was caught yelling this particular phrase. Injured quarterback Geno Smith yelled it at a heckling fan following a loss at home to the Detroit Lions back in September. Smith promptly apologized, but the same can’t be said for Ryan.
