Johnny Damon Among Contestants On Latest ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Season

Atlanta Braves v Boston Red SoxDonald Trump announced the contestants for the seventh season of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and the sports world is well represented.

Former Boston Red Sox outfielder Johnny Damon, former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, Olympic snowboarder Jamie Anderson and Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson are among the 16 contestants this season, which premieres Jan. 4. Trump revealed the cast on Tuesday’s episode of “Today,” per E!’s website.

Many athletes — including former NBA forward Dennis Rodman and former MLB outfielder Darryl Strawberry — have appeared on the show’s previous seasons, but none have won the top prize. The four athletes on this coming season will compete against Kevin Jonas, Gilbert Gottfried, Kate Gosselin, Ian Ziering, Geraldo Rivera, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore, Vivica Fox, “Deadliest Catch” star Sig Hansen, Lorenzo Lamas, Leeza Gibbons and Keshia Knight Pulliam.
