The New England Patriots had a lot going for them entering Sunday’s showdown at Gillette Stadium. That didn’t stop NFL Network’s experts from unanimously picking the favored Denver Broncos to win the game.

The Broncos entered with a 6-1 record, so it’s hard to fault the analysts for their selections. But Kurt Warner took it one step further during a “NFL GameDay Morning” segment aptly titled “Bold Predictions,” in which the former quarterback forecast a Broncos romp.

Yeah, that’s not what happened. If Warner had swapped the Broncos with the Patriots, though, he would’ve been right!

Kurt Warner used Twitter to defend himself as the Patriots cruised to their 43-21 victory, and he also sarcastically thanked fans who gave him the business about his prediction.

On the bright side, Warner’s brutally incorrect prediction wasn’t even the worst of the bunch, as Warren Sapp added Manning would score two rushing touchdowns. Guess they don’t call them bold predictions for nothing.
