FOXBORO, Mass. — It appears LeGarrette Blount hasn’t decided on a new number in his second tenure with the New England Patriots.
The re-signed running back participated in Patriots practice Thursday wearing No. 60, which is a number usually saved for offensive linemen. Blount wore No. 29 last season with the Patriots, but defensive back/special-teamer Don Jones currently owns that number.
Defensive linemen Dominique Easley (shoulder/knee), Chandler Jones (hip) and Sealver Siliga (foot) didn’t participate in practice. Offensive lineman Cameron Fleming (finger/ankle) also was absent. The Patriots’ session was held on the team’s upper practice field with players in sweats and shells.
Siliga participated in Wednesday’s walk-through with the Patriots. He is eligible to return from short-term injured reserve this week.
