11:37 a.m.: As expected, Calvin Johnson will play for the Detroit Lions today.

10:37 a.m.: Here’s potentially a big swing in the San Francisco 49ers-New Orleans Saints matchup.

According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport (via NFL.com), Saints running back Mark Ingram will be good to go against the Niners in the Superdome.

Adding to the bad news for San Francisco, linebacker Patrick Willis is expected to miss the game, according to NFL Media’s Jeff Darlington (via NFL.com).

10:30 a.m.: Maybe it’s just a smoke screen, but it sounds like Sammy Watkins’ status is yet to be determined.

9:45 a.m.: Things are going to start heating up on the injury update front. We’ve got some apparent news on Tampa Bay running back Charles Sims. He’ll be active today against the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As Schefter points out, it will be Sims’ debut, as he’s battled an ankle injury.

7:35 a.m.: The NFL Media guys are up and at it early, and they’re reporting some good news for the Buffalo Bills. It sounds as if running back Fred Jackson and wide receiver Sammy Watkins should be good to go against the Kansas City Chiefs.

7 a.m.: Tony Romo is one tough dude.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback suffered a back injury in a game just two weeks ago against the Washington Redskins. The Cowboys are expecting him to be back in the lineup on Sunday, though, as they take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Romo missed last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, but he’s listed as probable for the Sunday tilt with the Jags. The Cowboys have a bye next week and the Jaguars are miserable, but apparently Romo and the Cowboys feel good enough about taking the risk of reinserting him into the lineup. Of course, there’s always the chance Romo takes the field for warmups and can’t make the start if something doesn’t feel right. It would be one of the bigger Week 10 injury storylines.

While it sounds like the Cowboys will have Romo under center, the news might not be as good for Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins. The rookie wideout has a groin injury and didn’t practice late in the week after suffering the injury earlier in the week. The Bills are trying to keep pace in the AFC East and will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

We’ll be monitoring both situations and all of the injuries across the league leading up to kickoff. Be sure to check back often before setting your fantasy lineups and finalizing your pick ’em leagues.
