Jack Skille caught a pass at center ice Friday night and took it in for a chance to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 3-2, third-period lead over the Boston Bruins.

Luckily for the Bruins, Niklas Svedberg was ready.

Neither Dougie Hamilton nor Matt Bartkowski could make a play to stop Skille from attacking the net, but Svedberg came up big. The Bruins goaltender came up to the top of the crease and made an incredible glove save on Skille’s snap shot to keep the score knotted at two goals apiece.

The Bruins needed all the saves they could get, too, as they went on to win 4-3 after a shootout.
