The Boston Bruins have been banged up recently, but that hasn’t stopped them from winning games.

Despite the absences of key players such as defenseman Torey Krug and forward David Krejci, the B’s have rattled off four consecutive wins and five victories in their last six games. They’ll hope to keep that streak alive Monday night against a New Jersey Devils squad that’s dropped three straight contests.

As center Patrice Bergeron pointed out, the team’s recent rash of injuries has given other players the chance to step up and fill the void.

“It’s adversity, I think, that makes you stronger as a team,” Bergeron told reporters Sunday. “Within this dressing room we have to find ways and all step up, and I think that’s a good challenge for all of us.”

Boston might get an added boost against the Devils, as Krug’s status for Monday’s game remains up in the air.
