FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots’ dreams came true Sunday, as snow fell at Gillette Stadium.
The snow plows and shovelers did their jobs in clearing off the snow, but blustery flakes dropped on the game field just three hours before the Patriots and Denver Broncos were set to face off.

The Patriots fired up a Yule log on the video board, which won’t actually warm up Pats Nation, but it was a nice touch.

With temperatures in the high 30s, the snow was expected to turn to rain at any moment. Winds up to 20 mph are expected during the game, and precipitation could tail off before the 4:25 p.m. kickoff.
