Patriots Injury Report: Akeem Ayers’ Absence From Practice Not Injury Related

FOXBORO, Mass. — Good news: New England Patriots edge rusher Akeem Ayers is not injured.

Ayers missed practice Friday for undisclosed reasons. The linebacker/defensive end was spotted at the Patriots’ facility however, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

Defensive end Chandler Jones (hip) was the only player absent from practice Friday. Jones was declared out for Sunday night’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Defensive lineman Dominique Easley (knee), safety Nate Ebner (finger) and offensive linemen Cameron Fleming (finger) and Ryan Wendell (knee) are questionable to suit up. Quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) and wide receiver Matthew Slater (shoulder) are probable to play.

Easley, Ebner, Fleming and Wendell were limited in practice. Brady and Slater were full participants.
