Patriots Practice Report: Sealver Siliga Returns, Can Play Vs. Lions

FOXBORO, Mass. — Sealver Siliga’s long wait is over.

The New England Patriots defensive tackle participated in Wednesday’s walk-through in the Dana-Farber Field House. Siliga was placed on injured reserve with designation to return Sept. 27 after suffering a foot injury Week 3 against the Oakland Raiders.

Siliga can return from short-term injured reserve Sunday against the Detroit Lions if the Patriots deem him healthy and ready. The Patriots have 21 days to elevate Siliga to the 53-man roster before he would be placed on season-ending injured reserve. The Patriots will need to release a player from the active roster when they activate Siliga.

Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones (hip) and offensive lineman Cameron Fleming were absent Wednesday. Fleming appeared to suffer an ankle injury Sunday in the Patriots’ 42-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
