It sounds like the Boston Celtics will be heading across the pond next October.

The Celtics’ 2015 preseason slate will include dates in Madrid and Milan sources told the Boston Herald’s Steve Bulpett on Tuesday. It would be the first time since 2012 that the C’s have taken their talents to Europe.

Bulpett also reports the Celtics’ international games will be against local clubs, not NBA opponents.

This season’s exhibition slate did not feature any international appearances (save for a routine matchup with the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre), but it did include three games in arenas that don’t typically house NBA teams. The Celtics played the New York Knicks in Hartford and Uncasville, Conn., and the Raptors in Portland, Maine.

The 2015 preseason schedule likely will not be released until late summer.
