The Big 12 Conference was the biggest loser of the college football playoff selection, as both Baylor and TCU failed to make the cut.

Both the Bears and Horned Frogs came up just short of a playoff berth after both teams won their Saturday matchups. Baylor beat Kansas State 38-27, while TCU steamrolled Iowa State 55-3.

The top four selections made by the CFB playoff committee were Alabama, Oregon, Florida State and Ohio State.

In his latest FootballByFootball.com post Monday, Brady Quinn explained that Baylor and TCU were doomed from the start.

“Once you peel back the layers of this stinking onion, all you see is an attempt by ESPN to produce ratings for their weekly broadcast of the committee’s decision,” Quinn wrote.

“The biggest injustice throughout this entire process is that CFB players for Baylor and TCU were led on to believe they actually had a shot to make the playoff when compared to OSU.”

No. 2 Oregon will take on No. 3 Florida State and No. 1 Alabama will face No. 4 Ohio State when the college football playoff begins Jan. 1.
