The NFL has suspended Dominic Raiola for his team’s regular season finale after the Detroit Lions center stomped on Chicago Bears defensive tackle Ego Ferguson’s ankle during Sunday’s win at Soldier Field.

The Lions will play the Green Bay packers in Week 17 and will look to clinch the NFC North crown and a first-round bye in the playoffs but will do so without Raiola, according to USA TODAY Sports.

Raiola, a 14-year veteran of the league, is considered one of the NFL’s dirtiest players, and Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall didn’t sound surprised to hear of the punishment.

For his part, Railoa has maintained that the stomp was unintentional.
