Florida Player Accidentally Tips Ball Into Own Basket To Give FSU Win (Video)

Get ready to feel some secondhand embarrassment.

Florida and Florida State squared off Tuesday night, and the Seminoles ended a five-game losing streak to the Gators. But how they did it will make you feel very bad for one Florida guard.

FSU was down 63-62 in the game’s final seconds, and Devon Bookert sunk a 3-pointer just before the buzzer to give the ‘Noles the 65-63 win. Unfortunately for the Gators, it went in because their own Jacob Kurtz accidentally tipped it.

Kurtz, a senior, actually is well liked by Gator fans. He started as a student manager his freshman year before making the team as a walk-on in 2011, and he captured the hearts of the Florida faithful.

Hopefully, that will be enough for Kurtz to make fans forget about his little mistake this time around.
