The Jaguars are 2-12 straight up and 4-9-1 against the spread on the season. Thursday marks the first time in 42 games the Jaguars have been a betting favorite. The last time they were favored was September 30, 2012 at home against the Cincinnati Bengals. Jacksonville is 3-11-1 ATS in its last 15 home games.
The Titans are 2-12 SU and 3-10-1 ATS on the season. This is the 13th time they have been an underdog this season. They are 3-8-1 ATS in those games.
The Jaguars are 6-1-1 ATS in their last seven games against the Titans. Tennessee hosted Jacksonville in October, winning 16-14. Jacksonville covered the spread as a 4.5-point underdog at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com, and the score hit the UNDER.
The total has gone UNDER in seven of the last 10 games between these teams and also in six of the last seven such games. The OddsShark Computer predicts a 14-10 Jaguars victory. That would provide for the Tennessee cover and the UNDER.
Washington hosts Philadelphia in the first half of a rare Saturday doubleheader. The Eagles are favored by between 7.5 points and nine points for the game. Philadelphia has been at least a touchdown favorite on the road 22 times since 1990. It is 18-3-1 SU and 9-13 ATS in those games, including 1-5 ATS in the last six such games since 2008. Washington has been at least a touchdown underdog at home 14 times since 1990, and is 2-12 SU and 7-6-1 ATS in those games. The computer predicts a 29-14 Eagles victory for the cover but coming short of the 50-point total.
San Francisco hosts San Diego, with the 49ers between even and one-point favorites. The 49ers are 5-9 ATS this season, 1-5 ATS at home, and have been eliminated from playoff contention. Philip Rivers reportedly has a back injury but is expected to play for San Diego. The computer predicts a 17-16 Chargers win.
The Patriots’ line remains as high as 11.5 points on the road against the New York Jets, but several sportsbooks are sticking with a 10-point line. The total currently is 47.5 points and has gone OVER in nine of the last 10 games between these teams, according to the OddsShark NFL Database. New England placed defensive lineman Dominique Easley on injured reserve, ending his abbreviated season. Percy Harvin sat out Wednesday practice with an ankle injury but is expected to play for the Jets.
