“Best Acceptance Speech” isn’t a real category, but if it was, Joe Kelly would have won that, too.
The winners of the MLB Network Social Media Awards were announced Sunday night with the Boston Red Sox pitcher taking home the “Best Selfie” award for his gem with Derek Jeter.

An acceptance speech wasn’t exactly required for receiving the honor, but Kelly went ahead and delivered a great one anyway. Sitting with his two pups, Kelly thanked the fans and Jeter, “the real MVP,” and of course said he was “hashtag blessed” about the accomplishment.

His “I’m not weird, I’m a pitcher” T-shirt was just icing on the cake.
