Patriots Injury Report: Jonas Gray, Alfonzo Dennard Ruled Out Vs. Bills

FOXBORO, Mass. — Rookie running back James White could have a chance to shine Sunday.

Running back Jonas Gray (ankle) already has been ruled out for the New England Patriots’ regular-season finale against the Buffalo Bills. Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard also was ruled out on Friday’s injury report because of a hamstring injury suffered in practice.

White could see action in just his third NFL game with Gray out and Shane Vereen and LeGarrette Blount limited by injuries. White has nine carries for 38 yards on the season.

Dennard was a starter at the beginning of the season, but he’s been a healthy scratch for most of the second half of the year. He likely would have seen a solid share of snaps in Sunday’s game because the Patriots are likely to rest starters in the second half.

Veteran offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer was added to the report with a back injury.
