Jim Harbaugh is having trouble deciding what to do next.

ESPN.com reported Friday that the San Francisco 49ers head coach is torn about his future. Harbaugh reportedly is considering a six-year, $49 million contract offer from the University of Michigan as their top choice for their vacant head coach position, but Harbaugh also loves life in the NFL.

The ESPN.com report also indicates that Harbaugh’s family and friends are urging him to take the job at Michigan, his alma mater. However, Harbaugh reportedly is inclined to wait and see what head-coaching jobs might open up in the NFL before deciding what to do about Michigan, according to ESPN.com.

Harbaugh is in the fourth year of his current five-year contract with the 49ers, which means the Niners would expect compensation if he takes another NFL job.
