Johnny Manziel couldn’t wait just one more week to throw a party.

The Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback was fined for being late for treatment for his injured hamstring Saturday, and Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports has the reason for his tardiness. According to La Canfora, Manziel threw a big party Friday night that was “attended by many members of the club,” although names were not disclosed.

It is unclear if Josh Gordon, who was suspended for the Browns’ Week 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens for violating team rules and was also absent from Saturday’s walkthrough, was at Johnny Football’s rager. LaCanfora added the Browns had to send security to Manziel’s house Saturday to track him down once they noticed his absence.

This stunt from Manziel is just the latest for the young quarterback, who has struggled mightily during his limited time on the gridiron while continuing to make headlines off of it. The Browns are growing tired of his act, according to La Canfora, who writes that his “nighttime activities and work habits and practice performances continue to worry the organization.”

While Manziel was placed on injured reserve this week, it was believed that he would have made an effort to be around for the walk-through session given his many public statements to take his job more seriously and to become the team’s starter next season.
