Let’s talk New England Revolution.

The Revolution came agonizingly close to glory on Sunday once again Sunday but fell at the final hurdle. The Los Angeles Galaxy defeated the Revolution 2-1 in extra time, ending the Revs’ bid for their first MLS Cup title in their 19-year history.

The Galaxy are celebrating their record fifth MLS championship but they will enter a new era when the festivities end. U.S. Soccer legend Landon Donovan enjoyed a Hollywood ending to his career, but the Galaxy will have to replace their most iconic player if they are to defend their championship.

NESN.com’s Marcus Kwesi O’Mard and Scott French of MLSSoccer.com held a Google Hangout on Wednesday to discuss the MLS Cup, the Revolution, the Galaxy, Donovan’s finale and more. They also answer fans’ questions, submitted via Twitter with the hashtag #RevsHangout.
