Ryan Lavarnway has only known life in professional baseball with the Boston Red Sox.
That is, of course, until now. The catcher was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he’ll start the next chapter of his career in the spring wearing Dodger blue instead of red.
However, it sounds as if Lavarnway won’t be forgetting his time with the team that gave him his start. The Yale product tweeted a letter of thanks to the Red Sox and the team’s fans Sunday afternoon.
