Los Angeles Clippers veteran Spencer Hawes didn’t play in Thursday’s Christmas Day matchup against the Golden State Warriors, but he received plenty of attention for his choice of attire.
In fact, Hawes’ Christmas suit was one of the more memorable aspects of a boring game that Los Angeles won 100-86 at Staples Center.

NBA players love to make fashion statements walking into the arena, during games and in postgame press conferences, and Hawes deserves a lot of credit for his creativity Thursday night.
This is the kind of suit you would expect to see Don Cherry wear during the Coach’s Corner segment of “Hockey Night in Canada” broadcasts.
