‘SportsCenter’ Gives Canadiens-Kings Highlights ‘NHL 94’ Treatment (Video)

As any sports fan over the age of, say, 25 can attest that EA Sports’ “NHL 94” is one of the greatest video games of all time.

If you fall into that category, then this video is for you.

Rather than deliver Friday night’s Montreal Canadiens-Los Angeles Kings highlights in standard fashion, ESPN’s “SportsCenter” decided to give the package an “NHL 94”-inspired makeover, complete with game’s original graphics and sound effects and “Swingers” references galore from anchor Neil Everett.

Our only gripe with the video is that it failed to include this brilliant, spinning goal by Canadiens rookie Jiri Sekac:

So money.
