TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin has thrown for many touchdown passes throughout his collegiate career, but on Saturday he was on the receiving end for a change.
During TCU’s Big 12 showdown against Iowa State, the Heisman hopeful threw a lateral after the snap to wide receiver David Porter, who immediately threw it back to Boykin.
The quarterback caught the ball and followed some great blocking on the outside to notch his first career receiving touchdown.
No. 3 TCU needed some style points in their game against Iowa State so that they’d continue to get some love from the selection committee. Plays like that, including the game’s 55-3 final score should help their chances of staying in the top four and advancing to the College Football Playoff.
