The Green Bay Packers might be as talented musically as they are athletically.
We learned in November that Clay Matthews and several of his Packers teammates had landed a cameo in “Pitch Perfect 2,” the sequel to the 2012 hit movie about a group of college a capella singers, but now we know just how much they crushed their small role. Anna Kendrick, the star of the movie, raved about the Pack during her Monday night appearance on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
First and foremost, Kendrick revealed the guys clearly have seen the movie more than once.
âTheyâre fans,â she said. âThey are fans. Like they were talking about it so much that our producers were like, âWe should probably ask them to be in it.’ And they showed up and could do the whole finale number back to front, like knew it inside out. The 10 girls were like, âI donât understand whatâs happening.’ â
Meyers then asked the 5-foot-2 actress what it’s like to stand next to a Packer, and her answer didn’t disappoint.
âItâs amazing weâre the same species,â she said. âI mean, it was like being next to a blue whale. I donât understand. I donât know whatâs going on.â
