The Atlanta Hawks own the best record in the Eastern Conference, but getting fans to show up to Philips Arena always has been a tricky proposition.

So, the team’s marketing department has been forced to get creative, and Wednesday’s Swipe Right Night, which offered a number of promotions based on the popular dating app Tinder, is the shining example.

By all accounts, the effort was at least a modest success — it helped the Hawks sell an extra 1,500 tickets, per ESPN’s Darren Rovell — and it also allowed another NBA team to send out the tweet of the night.
