The unofficial second half of the season for the Boston Bruins got underway Wednesday one day after it was supposed to.
Bruins practice Tuesday was canceled after a massive blizzard made its way through New England, hammering the Boston area with a couple of feet of snow. By Wednesday, everyone was shoveled out and the B’s held their first post-All-Star Game break practice.
Each one of the Bruins was present and accounted for, including center Patrice Bergeron who was the lone All-Star Game representative for the Black and Gold. Luckily for Bergeron, he was able to get out of Columbus before things got too hairy in Boston.
The Bruins’ lines and defensive pairings remained unchanged as the lineup looked the same as it did in the games before the All-Star break. Here are what the lines and D-pairings looked like.

The Bruins also got back into the swing of things by holding an intrasquad scrimmage.
The Bruins’ post-break schedule starts out with a couple of big tests beginning with a game Thursday night with a trip to Long Island to take on the red-hot New York Islanders. The Isles lead the Metropolitan Division and are tied for the most points in the Eastern Conference.
In the next week and a half, the Bruins will also play the Los Angeles Kings (defending Stanley Cup champions), the New York Rangers (7-3-0 in their last 10 games), the Islanders again and then the Montreal Canadiens (3-0 against Boston) to finish off a back-to-back on Feb. 7 and 8.
