BOSTON — Tributes have poured in from around the sports world following the death of legendary “SportsCenter” anchor Stuart Scott on Sunday.

Another tribute came Monday night, when the Boston Celtics honored Scott with a moment of silence ahead of their matchup with the Charlotte Hornets at TD Garden.

Scott, who had been an ESPN staple since joining the network in 1993, succumbed to cancer at age 49. He played a major role in the lives of sports fans growing up in the 1990s and 2000s, including, undoubtedly, many of the players wearing Celtics green and Hornets purple Monday night.
