The first half of Sunday’s NFC Championship Game didn’t go well for the Seattle Seahawks, or Russell Wilson’s neck.

The Seahawks already were trailing the Green Bay Packers by 16 points at CenturyLink Field when Wilson threw an interception — his third of the half — to Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Wilson had a beat on bringing down Clinton-Dix, but Packers Pro Bowler Clay Matthews had other plans.

We’re pretty sure necks aren’t supposed to do that.

Matthews was penalized for an illegal hit on the play, but that likely won’t make Wilson’s neck feel any better. Another angle of the play shows that Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch also took a solid licking from a Packers linebacker.

It’s safe to say the Packers have channeled their inner Seahawks.
