Colts Players Joke On Twitter After Patriots’ ‘DeflateGate’ Reported Findings

Get ready, New England Patriots because you’re about to hear it from everyone. First up: the Indianapolis Colts.

The Patriots got some bad news Tuesday night when ESPN reported that 11 of 12 of the team’s footballs were found to be under-inflated following the AFC Championship Game. That’s obviously a no-no, and who knows what it could mean for the Patriots in the long run.

What we do know is those in Indianapolis aren’t going to wait to rush to judgment after the Colts were blown out by New England on Sunday. The man who broke the story called for Patriots head coach Bill Belichick to lose his job, and a pair of Colts players took to Twitter to give their takes.

Colts punter Pat McAfee and cornerback Darius Butler both poked fun of the situation shortly after the news broke.

Of course, they’re joking (or at least we really, really hope so), although a rematch probably would look pretty similar, no matter how much air is in the football. However, it’s safe to assume plenty more hot takes are on the way, especially with almost two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl.
