If you’re a Dallas Cowboys fan, there’s a good chance you weren’t happy with the outcome of the NFC divisional-round playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.
Then again, there’s a good chance you weren’t as mad as this guy.
A particularly rankled fan named Terry Hendrix has filed a lawsuit against the NFL in the wake of Dallas’ 26-21 loss, which was highlighted by wide receiver Dez Bryant’s controversial overturned catch in the fourth quarter. Hendrix’s price? Oh, just $88 billion.
“For the theft from and the loss of a Super Bowl, against and upon Dez Bryant, #88, the 2014/2015 on field offense of and to include all the cheerrrleaders (sic), fans, of and all people in or from the sovereign republic of Texas,” Hendrix wrote in the suit, via WFAA.com in Dallas.
Seems legit.
Hendrix is incarcerated in a Colorado correctional facility, which apparently gave him plenty of time to file this hilarious lawsuit and come up with a ludicruous sum that likely was inspired by Bryant’s jersey number.
Hendrix added that the referees’ video review and reversal of Bryant’s catch was a “fraud” and a “gross negligence” causing “true injury” to the Cowboys.
Between this guy and DeflateGate, the NFL is having quite the eventful end to the season.
