UFC Fight Night is coming to Boston, and it’s bringing plenty of excitement along with it.
A much-anticipated featherweight matchup between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver highlights what should be an eventful night at TD Garden this Sunday.
While Siver certainly is no slouch, McGregor is making serious noise in UFC circles after his decisive TKO of Dustin Poirier in UFC 178. McGregor’s efforts haven’t gone unnoticed by UFC president Dana White. In an interview with NESN’s Sarah Davis on Wednesday’s edition of “NESN Live,” White argued that the Ireland native is one of the most electrifying fighters in history.
“Conor McGregor is without a doubt, probably one of the most exciting fighters ever in UFC history,” White told Davis. “The kid’s been on a tear. He’s got an entire country behind him in Ireland; it’s so fun to go to his fights, and actually, he’s selling out (TD) Garden this weekend on the same day that the (New England) Patriots are playing.”
