The sports world lost a legend Sunday morning when ESPN’s Stuart Scott died at age 49.

From his unbridled enthusiasm to his unforgettable catchphrases, Scott made his presence felt not just to fans, but to professional athletes as well.

In the wake of his passing, several Boston athletes — including Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz and New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman — took to Twitter to express their thoughts.
