Doug Baldwin is ready for an island getaway.

The Seattle Seahawks wide receiver isn’t looking forward to the offseason, though. He’s preparing to visit Revis Island on Sunday, when he and the Seahawks face Darrelle Revis and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.

Baldwin is embracing the challenge of facing Revis, one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks.

“I’m excited about it,” Baldwin said Tuesday at Super Bowl Media Day in Phoenix, according to NFL.com. “Any time you get to go up against guys that have done well in this league, who have dominated in this league, you have got to rise to the challenge. … (Brandon) Browner being one of the most physical cornerbacks, Revis being one of the most cerebral cornerbacks, I’m excited about the opportunity we have presented to us.”

Baldwin is especially geared up to see what he can do against Revis, who has been as advertised in his first season in Foxboro.

“I’m going to bring my sunblock, my shades and a hat, and I’m going to go to Revis Island and see what I can do,” Baldwin said, per NFL.com. “And I’ll let you know after the game.”

Baldwin did have a handful of really good games this season, ending 2014 with 66 catches for 825 yards and three touchdowns. The wideout saved much of his best work last season for the Super Bowl, hauling in five passes for 66 yards and one TD in the Seahawks’ rout of the Denver Broncos.
