Third Period, 19:20, 1-1: Milan Lucic’s one-timer from inside the left faceoff circle is stopped by Anton Khudobin as the Bruins are making a strong push to win in regulation. Lucic was set up by a pass from David Krejci behind the goal line.
Third Period, 18:00, 1-1: Carolina has a 33-17 SOG edge with two minutes remaining in regulation. The Hurricanes are spending a lot of time in the attacking zone but Tuukka Rask is giving the Bruins a chance to win with timely saves.

12:30 pm: The Boston Bruins suffered another frustrating loss Saturday when the Ottawa Senators won 3-2 in overtime at TD Garden.
Luckily for the Bruins, they don’t have much time to dwell on the defeat because the next game on the schedule is Sunday afternoon against the Carolina Hurricanes.
“It’s a situation that we don’t want to be in and we hoped that we wouldn’t be in, but we are at where we are at,” Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid said Saturday. “It almost makes every game a must-win game because you see when the season winds down, how close the standings are and how much every point counts. Especially when we are playing teams that are in our division and in our conference, especially in our division that are tight with us.
“We need to be taking points. We need to keep pushing and we’ve got work to do and we’ve got areas to improve on and we need to do that. We need to start winning games and getting points. I don’t know, it’s not a position that we want to be in but we are, and we need to find a way to work ourselves out of it.”
