Well, we know the next guy Phil Kessel will be calling an idiot.

During Wednesday night’s Boston Bruins-Pittsburgh Penguins broadcast on NBC Sports Network, Mike Milbury took some time out to lay into the beleaguered Toronto Maple Leafs, and more specifically, Kessel. Milbury didn’t hold anything back, calling the Leafs’ star winger “a pain in the ass,” among many other things.

“He’s such a pain in the ass, nobody wants to be around him,” Milbury said. “All he does is cause trouble. He runs hot and cold all the time, he’s not committed. He’s one of those guys players on the team don’t really like.”

This comes only one day after Kessel called a reporter an “idiot” when asked if he was uncoachable, as former Leafs coach Ron Wilson previously stated on a radio show. The tense media exchange also happened just hours after Toronto fired head coach Randy Carlyle.

Things didn’t get any better for the Leafs later in the night, either. The Washington Capitals blew them out in dominating fashion, winning 6-2.
