The NFL is using the game’s biggest stage to send another strong message about domestic violence.
If you’ve watched any NFL games this season, you’ve likely seen commercials for the “No More” campaign, in which a number of athletes and celebrities speak out against domestic violence.
For Super Bowl XLIX, the NFL will continue the campaign with a powerful 60-second spot that focuses on the fear that often accompanies domestic violence.
The ad is subtle yet chilling, as we only hear the voice of a woman trying to remain calm as she places a 911 call disguised as a pizza order with her attacker in the same room. It’s reportedly based on a true story.
The league has ramped up its advertisement of the “No More” campaign during a season that’s seen a number of high-profile domestic violence cases, most notably those involving NFL stars Ray Rice, Greg Hardy and Adrian Peterson.
