Report: John Fox Could Be Fired As Head Coach If Broncos Lose To Colts

John Fox might be coaching for his job Sunday afternoon.

FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reported Sunday morning that there is a significant chance Fox could be fired as the Denver Broncos’ head coach if his team fails to defeat the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

Glazer added that Fox would “shoots to the top of lists” of head-coaching vacancies if the Broncos do indeed let him go.

Denver has been among the NFL’s top team under Fox and quarterback Peyton Manning, winning at least 12 games in three consecutive seasons and earning a trip to Super Bowl XLVIII. The Broncos suffered a disappointing divisional-round exit in Manning’s first season, though, and another one this weekend could be too much for John Elway & Co. to bear.

The Broncos enter the game as 9.5-point favorites over the Colts, per OddsShark.
