Rich Eisen no longer works for ESPN, but he still has plenty of ties to the network — perhaps none stronger than his relationship with Stuart Scott.
Scott, Eisen’s former colleague on “SportsCenter,” passed away Sunday at age 49 after a long battle with cancer. The news shook the sports world, and few took it as hard as Eisen, who thrust into the national sports spotlight alongside Scott during their “SportsCenter” days.
