Jeremy Lane has his opinion on New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, but other Seahawks don’t agree.

The Seattle cornerback made waves Thursday when he declared that Gronkowski is not that good. But perhaps Pats fans will be surprised to hear that Richard Sherman came to Gronk’s defense.

“(Lane is) entitled to his own opinion, but I think (Gronkowski) is pretty great,” the Seahawks cornerback said Sunday, per NFL.com.

Defensive lineman Michael Bennett echoed Sherman’s sentiments about the tight end’s greatness.

“He (presents) the challenges of being (6-foot-6-plus),” Bennett said Monday. “His body’s pretty good. He’s a good blocker. I think he does great. I think his run-after-catch is second to none. I think he has great hands. He’s just a great player, honestly.”

But as you’d expect from an opponent before the biggest NFL game of the year, not everyone was so quick to praise Gronkowski’s talent.

“I wouldn’t call (Gronkowski) a problem,” Seahawks middle linebacker Bobby Wagner said. “He’s definitely a great player. They move him all around the field. They have him on the outside, they have him on the inside. They do a lot of good things with him, and he does a great job of catching the ball.

“Sometimes he’s doubled teamed and catches the ball, but I definitely feel like we have the athletes that match up with him and the athletes to definitely hold him. I’m looking forward to the matchup.”

We’ll just have to wait and see Sunday who gets the better of the matchup between Rob Gronkowski and the Seattle Seahawks defense.
