PHOENIX — Tom Brady and Richard Sherman will have to wait until Sunday for a war of words.

Sherman was complimentary and civil when asked about the New England Patriots quarterback Tuesday at Super Bowl Media Day. Brady and the Seattle Seahawks cornerback famously exchanged some trash talk two seasons ago when their teams met.

“He’s a little more fiery than the rest of the quarterbacks,” Sherman said of Brady. “A lot of the quarterbacks try to stay even keel throughout the game and not get too high, not get too low. He’ll show his emotions a little more than the rest of them.”

Sherman decided not to take the bait even when prodded by the media. The cornerback was asked how it feels to give Brady nightmares.

“I didn’t know I was in his dream-sphere,” Sherman said. “I appreciate you, but I highly doubt he’s afraid of me. He’s a great player, Hall of Famer in this league, and he’s been playing at a high level for a long time, but I appreciate the compliment.”
